Description

Cedar Valley Farms is a family run business with over four generations currently involved. In 1978, Michael and his wife Nancy Bouwkamp founded Cedar Valley Farms on just over 100 acres. They specialized in growing onions and carrots in organic soil known as muck. Since then, Michael and Nancy have expanded their farm to 700 acres and now grow primarily grow potatoes along with a few other vegetables. In 2001, they created Cedar Valley Packing, Inc. to address consumer-sized packing and to support the local fresh demand of their customers. Michael, President of the company, Nancy as the Office Coordinator and Kyle Bouwkamp, Operations Manager, run the farm along with their seasonal employees. They offer their locally grown produce to wholesale operations, retail stores, food service companies and farm market vendors. Both their packing company and their farm are USDA/GAP certified.
