Description

Henry Wiers and his family left the Netherlands and established Wiers Farm in 1896. The farm is now run by the family’s fifth generation and has expanded to include production facilities in Florida as well as Ohio. The Wiers family also owns the trucking company Dutch Maid Logistics. With a fleet of over 100 top of the line trucks and over 150 refrigerated trailers, Wiers Farm has access to fast, reliable, and flexible delivery services.
In addition, the family places value on the importance of social responsibility; each year they donate some of their annual profits to charitable causes, with a special focus on education, and they are close allies with the Ohio Food Bank to provide produce to those who normally do not have access. The Wiers also value maintaining the health of the land and practice sustainable agricultural methods. The farm is Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) Certified.
