Description

George Ploch, an immigrant from Germany, founded Ploch Farms in the late 1800s and turned it into a vegetable farm in 1916. What began as a nine-acre dairy farm has expanded to a 280-acre herb and vegetable farm in South Jersey.  Now, fourth and fifth generation family members John and Ryan Ploch run the farm. John, who has been farming since a very young age, says he could not run the farm without his son Ryan who uses his degree in agriculture to apply new, innovative strategies to the farm. Ryan says he has been learning to farm from his dad, uncles and grandpa since he was 12, and he and his dad love working together
