Description

The Lubber family began their journey growing fresh, nutritious food in 1993 when their six-year old daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer. After doing some research, they found that the food supply is largely connected to cancer, and they were alarmed by the amount of pesticides, herbicides, dyes and preservatives in our food. So, they decided to grow their own, and they have been committed to sustainable agricultural practices since 1995, the start of Lubber’s family farm.  Their eggs are laid on pasture, and their cows, pigs, turkeys, roosters and chickens are all hormone and antibiotic-free and are fed non-GMO products. The farm is also home to Little Rooster Bread Company where they bake fresh bread daily out of local and organic ingredients. They offer farm-based events, educational workshops and farm tours as well.
