Description

In 1927, Jack and Aleta Brown first started the operation in their garage, selling produce to local grocery stores in Michigan.  Today, Jack Brown Produce is a leading Michigan apple packer, shipper and exporter nationally and internationally. With more than 70 growers supplying Jack Brown, they offer numerous apple varieties ranging from classics like McIntosh or Red Delicious to newer varieties such as Fuji, Honeycrisp or Gala. Their 208,000 square foot packing facility is one of the largest in the country, which means apples can be packed and shipped quickly, spending less time in storage. The apples go through quite a process before they end up on your plate. When they arrive at Jack Brown, they are floated out of their bins, rinsed, inspected, washed, air-dried, waxed, sorted and packed.
