Description

The Wright Family has been farming in the Delaware Valley since the 1800s. They originally began raising honey bees to help in the pollination of their fruit trees. Other farmers saw their success with using honey bees for pollination and asked the Wright family to help them. Soon, they started setting up bee hives on other farms to aid in pollination of other farmer’s various crops. Quickly, the pollination business became bigger than their fruit business. They decided to extract honey from their beehives and were rewarded with a delicious, flavorful honey that they sold from a small covered table by the side of the road. In 1951, Gloria and Everett Wright planted 110 acres of orchards where they grow a variety of fruits and offer a pick-your-own season to visitors.

Today millions of honey bees in thousands of hives are transported from their locations in Florida and New Jersey to pollinate crops and produce honey across the country. Great care in processing honey is Fruitwood Orchards' way of assuring you the best tasting products possible.
