Description

The Confreda family began farming in 1922. Confreda Greenhouses and Farms represent one of the oldest and largest commercial vegetable farms in Rhode Island. They opened a Farmer’s Market and Garden Center in 1997 to expand their business beyond the typical growing season. Today, 3rd and 4th generation family members run the business and are committed to providing the community with fresh produce, hardy plants and great local products. They grow over 160 varieties of annuals, 90 vegetable varieties, 75 hanging plant varieties and over 90 varieties of specialty products. Confreda Greenhouses and Farms is Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) certified.
